In the last weeks several actions were (suspected) carried out by the People´s Liberation Guerilla Army (PLGA) under the leadership of the Communist Party of India (Maoist) [CPI(Maoist)].

According to the bourgeoisie newspaper "Hindustan Times" four police informer were killed in the state of Chhattisgarh and Odisha in the last week of January, including a deputy sarpanch in Chhattisgarh. The Maoists left a handwritten note accusing the two of providing information to police about five of their colleagues, who were killed in police firing at Sirki village in Belghar area of Kandhamal district in September last year. 1 2

On January 31, a construction side were rushed by suspected combatants of the PLGA, setting a truck and two tractors ablaze, engaged in road construction. The road is being constructed in Lanji area under Road Connectivity Plan in Left Wing Extremism Affected Areas (RCPLWE)- a central government scheme which falls under the Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojna, said Abhishek Tiwari, superintendent of police (SP), Balaghat. The old Indian state is not interested in giving the people a proper infrastructure, it´s about reclaiming the rain forest for the reactionary security forces in order to intensify the fight against the people's war and their terror against the people. The combing operation of three teams of the Hawk Forces (special forces), initiated by the reaction after the action were without any success till yet. 3

On February 02, an exchange of fire between suspected Maoists and reactionary security forces were reported in the Bender forest near Lathor in Balangir district in the state of Odisha. According to the "Daily Pioneer" the forces were on a combing operation to bust camps of the PLGA when they got under fire. The combatants managed to initially push back the government forces to withdraw in orderly manner without any losses. 4

According to information of the "Times of India" the CPI(Maoist) called the masses to join and participate in the ongoing farmers protests, We can neither confirm nor deny the accuracy of this report (but it doesn't sound particularly far-fetched). It is said that the impacts of the new farmers law will also effect 80% of the Indian masses and not only the farmers (farmer is in general a job, the feasantry is in general a class) working the industrialized agriculture. Although the current protests are not led by the party, nor by the class of peasants, but by farmers, it is not less justified. 5
