In the following we want to give a short brief on recent actions carried out by the People´s Liberation Gierlla Army (PLGA) under the leadership of the Communist Party of India (Maoist) [CPI(Maoist) in the ongoing People´s War.

On April 24, a police sub-inspector, named Murli Tati, who had previously been detained by the PLGA, was sentenced to death by a people's court in Chattisgarh's Bijapur District. Murli Tati was known for his black role in fighting the People´s War and terrorizing the People. Bijapur police superintendent Kamlochan Kashyap called Tati one of the most important fighters in anti-Maoist operations in the Bijapur district. 1

On April 23, a police informer were shot dead by suspected member of the PLGA in Kudaburu village, located in Sonua Tehsil of Pashchimi Singhbhum district in Jharkhand. The police informer also had abducted a seven-year-old child in the past, but was apparently never convicted of it, quite likely because of his services to the reaction. 2

On April 22, two apparently armed drones belonging to reactionary security forces were reportedly shot down by PLGA forces in Bijapur district of Chhattisgarh. 3 Already at the beginning of the week there were reports of the use of drones and helicopters bombing PLGA positions. 4 On April 19, the Dandakaranya Special Zonal Committee apparently released a statement with evidence photos - (At this time, we cannot guarantee the authenticity of the statement). It can be assumed that the introduction of airstrikes by the reaction will be, among other things, a response to the PLGA's successful ambush on April 3, which we have already reported on and which left at least 22 reactionary security forces dead after a several lasting encounter. 5
