In the following we want to give a short brief on recent actions (suspected) carried put by the People´s Liberation Guerrilla Army (PLGA) under the leadership of the Communist Party of India (Maoist) [CPI (Maoist)] and current developments in People´s War.
On May 11, a police officer got killed in front of his house. According to "Times of India" the target jumped out of the window when he saw five armed suspected combatants of the PLGA approaching but got chased down and killed. It is also said that the attackers demand the police officer among others to hand out his mobile phone before. Whether this were confiscated is not clear from the report. 1
As previously in Chhattisgarh, police authorities in Odisha have now announced that they will now also treat Maoists with COVID19 symptoms free of charge if they surrender first:“Maoist leaders should take care of their cadres and ask them to seek medical help from the authorities. If they wish, we will get them vaccinated as people aged between 18 and 44 years have already started receiving the jabs,” Quite apart from the fact that this "offer" is absolutely ridiculous and there are not even reports of infected Maoists in Chhattisgarh, also none of the comrades in Odisha will surrender to the reaction for sure. And the fact that the reaction is trying to appeal to the "conscience" of the "cadres" only shows how desperate the reaction is in its fight against the people's war and the right rebellion of the people. 2
