In the following we want to give a short brief on the armed actions in People´s War in India in the recent days, suspected carried out by the People´s Liberation Guerrilla Army (PLGA) under the leadership off the Communist Party oh India (Maoist) [CPI(Maoist)].

On April 17, suspected combatants of the PLGA attacked the Chhattisgarh Armed Forces (CAF)’s Jigur police camp in Chhattisgarh’s Bijapur district around midnight. In the 30 minutes lasting encounter four members of the reactionary armed forces were injured, while the revolutionaries managed to retreat ( apparently ) without any casualties. 1

In another action on April 17, seven tractors parked in front of the local gram panchayat building (local government building) engaged in construction of a PMGSY (government infrastructure project) road in were set to fire Manganar village, also in Chhattisgarh’s Bijapur district. There also reports of banner which was attached near the spot warning  the village sarpanch (part of the local government and a kind of municipal governor), secretary and contractor Santhosh Patara to stop the road works .2

On April 15, suspected Maoist forces damaged a culvert (a type of bridge) by the use of an Improvised Explosive Device (IED) on the Injaram-Bhejji axis in Chhattisgarh’s Sukma district. The Injaram-Bhejji axis is[...] a vital axis for the security forces in the Naxal-dominated area.” Later, the reactionary security forces of the Commando Battalion for Resolute Action (COBRA) tasked with pursuing the combatants were ambushed by the revolutionaries, allowing those to retreat without losses.3
