Four soldiers were killed in an attack of so called "islamists" in the southern Philippines.
On June 05, a patrolling unit of soldiers were ambushed in Patikul town on Jolo island, 1,000 kilometers south of Manila. In the 40 minutes lasting exchange of fire four soldiers were killed. The insurgents managed to retreat. But some media claims that the reaction have also killed two persons.
