Also last week there were mass struggles and armed actions in the Indian-occupied part of Kashmir.
After soldiers of the old Indian state had killed nine rebels on June 07 and 08, combative mass protests against the occupation took place in several places in Kasmir. According to the news agency TRT-World, Indian soldiers surrounded a village in the Shopian district and opened fire on armed rebels. In response, masses attacked the security forces with stones to support the rebels' in the encounter. The reaction used tear gas and rubber bullets against the unarmed masses.
On June 13, another encounter was reported from Maldeera area of Zainapora in South Kashmir’s Shopian district. According to the local news agency Global News Service, police and military forces of the old Indian state were on a cordon and search operation in the region. By approaching to the suspected spot, the reactionary forces were ambushed by insurgents. There are no information about any casualties. At the time of the editorial deadline, the security forces were still in operation.
Unfortunately the general information situation from Kashmir is quite bad. There are countless reports in the Indian media about killed rebels, but the old Indian state tries to cover up its own losses and there is not a word about it on media.
