The Communist Party of India (Maoist) called for an Bandh (armed strike) in the ongoing People´s War on July 25 in the federal state of Telangana. The People´s Liberation Guerilla Army under the leadership of the CPI(Maoist) also attacked a construction site in Telangana.
According to several media reports the CPI(Maoist) call for a Bandh on July 25 in Telangana to demand the release of Varavara Rao from jail. Varavara Rao is a member of the Association of revolutionary authors (VIRASAM) and were detained by the old Indian state in October 2016. In the past we published several reports about the situation of VIRASAM and Varavara Rao. In fear of the bandh the reaction deployed several dozens of further police units for a massive cordon and search operation, so far without any success.
Despite the increased number of deployed security forces ant the reaction on alert the PLGA managed to attack a construction site in the district of Chela of Telenaga on July 22. According to a report of the bourgeoisie newspaper “Telangana Today”a group of ten combatants rushed the place and set fire to a bulldozer and a road roller. After the attack the members of the PLGA retreated without any losses.
