2022 marks the 50th anniversary of the foundation of the Communist Party of Turkey / Marxist-Leninist. Founded in 1972 by Comrade Ibrahim Kaypakkaya, the TKP/ML is leading the People’s War that is unfolding in Turkey, which is a shining beacon for the oppressed and exploited all over the world. To celebrate this 50th anniversary and to express their support for the ongoing New Democratic Revolution in Turkey on occasion of the anniversary of the death of its founder about 350 people came together yesterday in Stuttgart.
The festivity started with a loud and vivid demonstration leading into the City Center of Stuttgart, where a stage was prepared for speeches and cultural contributions. Throughout the demonstration as well as at the final rallying point for the festivity the chanting of slogans in support of the People‘s War in Turkey and for the TKP/ML could be heard far and wide.
Speeches were given not only in Turkish, but also in various other languages – such as Spanish, French, German, Greek and Italian – in correspondence with the various international delegations and letters of greetings that came to the meeting. Of particular significance was the speech in Portuguese delivered in the name of the Revolutionary Front in Defense of the Rights of the People from Brazil and the heartfelt speech issued by the mother of one martyred and one livelong imprisoned militant calling to not stop the struggle.
The event was accompanied culturally with musical contributions from the Group İsyan Ateşi that had the crowed dancing, celebrating and chanting. The various international delegations, dancing hand in hand and flying high the banner of the TKP/ML, the TIKKO and the TMLGB as well as the Party's founder, comrade Ibrahim Kaypakkaya, was a strong showing of Proletarian Internationalism and a lively expression of how the International Communist Movement is closing ranks and advancing forward together.
