To the working class and the poor peasantry
To the indigenous peoples in resistance

While economic ruin, hunger, misery, death from curable diseases, the dispossession of lands, the forced displacement of peoples, repression and war against the people are intensifying, the big businessmen of this country, the bureaucratic and comprador bourgeoisie, the big landowners and imperialism itself, anxiously prepare the electoral farce of 2018, where they will only choose the manager in turn of the old state and the representatives of the ruling classes, agglutinated in their different parties, which will crush the working people through the bourgeois power.
Everything is ready for the electoral circus, which represents a celebration of repression against the deepest layers of the population.
In these elections neither the regime nor the privileges of the exploiting classes are at stake. The only thing on the table is the dispute over the biggest slice of the pie and the ownership of "the public powers".
Therefore, and within the framework of the agreements taken by our State Assembly held last January 14 in the City of Oaxaca, as well as on the route of our National Conference to be held next March, our organization CURRENT OF THE PEOPLE RED SUN points out:
Starting next February 26, the SolRojista militancy will be concentrated in the City of Oaxaca to develop our STATEWIDE DAY OF STRUGGLE to defend the rights of the people and to denounce our repudiation of the electoral farce.
With the start of this STATEWIDE DAY OF STRUGGLE, we reinforced our campaign to reject the electoral farce with the call to NOT VOTE, BUT ORGANISE AND FIGHT! Also expressing our repudiation of the so-called Special Economic Zones that represent megaprojects of dispossession, death and militarization against the people. Our repudiation of the Internal Security Law and anti-popular policies and counter-reforms.
During this STATEWIDE DAY OF STRUGGLE, we will be carrying out a series of mobilizations that will go from minor to major and from the particular to the general in the Oaxacan capital for an indefinite period of time and during the days that are necessary, installing a SolRojista platoon in support of our comrades displaced Triquis of San Miguel Copala and in support also to our comrades of the General Assembly of the Binniza'n People in Struggle, of the rebellious communities of Puente Madera, Loma Bonita and Rancho Llano, belonging to the municipality of San Blas Atempa
Likewise, during this STATE CONFERENCE DAY the agrarian, labour and justice demands of our contingents will be raised with the necessary firmness under the slogan: Serve the people fullheartedly!
In this regard, we express our full support to our comrades in Section 9 of the National Independent Trade Union of Health Workers, attached to the Health Services of Oaxaca, to our partners in the Coordination of Social Security Bases, to our colleagues in the Primary School "Paul Percy Harris" and our fellow victims of the Isthmus Region who fight for the dignified reconstruction of schools, homes and services.
To the old state, we emphasize that we will not lower our flags and our program of struggle, nor will we renounce the defence of the rights of the people.
To our contingents, we ratify the general orientation of our State Assembly: Prepare to fight and win!
To the whole of the popular and trade union movement, we reiterate our call to unity and class struggle against the regime and imperialism, under the clarity that elections are not the solution, the solution is the class struggle of the proletariat and the broad popular in the perspective of the revolutionary transformation of society.
