We share the information from an article published by CORRIENTE DEL PUEBLO SOL ROJO [Current of the People Red Sun], which states that they joined other groups in the creation of the Coordination for the Freedom of Criminalised People from the people´s movement in Oaxaca, which includes ten organizations of the struggling people.
On August 1 they made their first public comunication before the Press conference in the center of Oaxaca reading the names of the 33 comrades of the people´s movement who are imprisioned or involved in court processes for political reasons. The arbitrary arrest and torture by the hands of the old state are evident in the resolutions of local, national and international organs.
¡Ni amnistía ni indulto!, ¡Exigimos libertad y absolución! [Neither amnesty nor pardon! We demand freedom and acquittal!] is the main content of this declaration. Other demands like the demand for the presentation of Doctor Ernesto Sernas García (Corriente del Pueblo Sol Rojo) with life, who is missing since May 10, 2018, and the necessary guarantees for the return of comrades Raúl Gatica Bautista (CIPO-RFM) y Juan Sosa Maldonado (OPIZ) who are on exile since 2005 and 2014 respectively, after suffering grave murder attempts. The declaration accuses the old state for pursuing those who are defending the country against the implementation of the so called structural reforms, those who oppose genocide and the handing over of the natural resources to foreign capital.
