A couple of hundred people took to the streets on this years 8th of March manifestation in Medellin, Colombia. Denouncing the double oppression of women and demanding rights a combative demonstration took place, mostly led be women, with comrades from the MESP also participating.
In several instances slogans were painted from within the demonstration alongside the route of the demonstration, not only addressing the issue of oppression of women, but also on other matters, such as in support of the Ukrainian people suffering the direct assault of imperialism. Bourgeois election propaganda located close to the demonstration was specifically targeted with color-laden slingshots by a masked detachment of protesters. When the police, who turned out in numbers, attempted to intimidate the manifestation, in several instances combative responses took place and slogans denouncing the riot police were put up.
