We publish an unofficial translation of an article by El Comunero Prensa Popular from Colombia about the murder of eleven peasants by the reactionary Colombian military.
On March 28th, around 7am in the community of Remanso, in the village of Puerto Ospina, municipality of Puerto Leguízamo, Putumayo, the reactionary army of Colombia viciously assassinated 11 peasants and left 4 more wounded.
The reactionary General Juan Carlos Correa Consuegra said that the aim of the operation was to find the whereabouts of a leader of the FARC dissidents and the action was presented by all the media as a great result. However, the versions of the community contrast the state version, peasants in the area claim that the people killed had been gathered since Sunday, holding a bazaar to collect funds to meet the needs of the same village, and denounce the presence of minors.

The National Organisation of Indigenous Peoples of the Colombian Amazon (OPIAC) denounces the murder of a member of the indigenous authority and denies that there have been clashes with the security forces. The indigenous guard and the peasants affirm that the military arrived shooting at the people who were participating in the activity and that this case is a "false positive", that is to say, the assassination of inhabitants who are then presented as guerrillas or members of other armed groups. A practice that began to be implemented during the Álvaro Uribe Vélez government to repress the people and inflate the results.
These facts show that the rotten state only protects the big rich and landowners who are the ones who benefit from the war to dispossess land and keep the people in misery, that is why the peasants must organise themselves to fight for the conquest of the land and that it is the peasants themselves who enjoy and protect it.
