We publish an unofficial translation of a short article by A Nova Demoracia (AND) documenting actions against the terror of the old state in Complexo do Alemão on 21 July.
Our editorial staff has received pictures of two banners hung by students from the State University of Rio de Janeiro (Uerj) and the Federal University Fluminense (UFF) to denounce the terrorist operation in the Complexo do Alemão carried out on 21 July by the Special Operations Battalion (Bope) and the Coordination of Special Resources (Core) of the Military and Civil Police.
The banners are signed by the Popular Revolutionary Movement of Students (MEPR) and were unfurled in front of the entrances of the two universities in the late afternoon and early evening of 21 July, the day of the massacre.
