Comrade Fidencio Aldama, who was arrested in October 2016 and sentenced to 15 years in prison for a murder he did not commit, is now free and has been declared innocent by a federal court. Fidencio Aldama, who is a member of the indigenous Yaqui people and an opponent of the imperialist megaproject of the Sonora gas pipeline was imprisoned until July 15 of this year as part of the struggle of the community of Lomas de Bacum. Last Saturday, July 15, according to various sources, up to 600 people gathered in Herford in North Rhine-Westphalia to take to the streets against police violence and racism. The demonstration was prompted by an incident on June 3 this year in which 19-year-old Bilel was stopped by the police for driving without lights and in the course of the check was attacked by the cops with 34 shots. Six bullets hit Bilel directly, who in the aftermath was in danger of his life and has since suffered paraplegia.

The health insurance funds in Germany are again facing a deficit of billions of euros for the year 2024. Health Minister Karl Lauterbach (SPD) recently stated that the insured should be prepared for rising contributions.
