Amid a wave of protests, the arch-reactionary government of Prime Minister Viktor Orban imposed a cuton the  workers' rights by a law that became popularly known as the "law of slavery." The measure, which was approved on December 12 and promulgated on December 20, allows monopolies to compel workers to accumulate 400 extra hours a year and only pay them in parts over a three-year period.

Today, 125 years ago, one of the great titans of though and action, Chairman Mao Tse-Tung, was born. On occassion of his birthday, actions took place in Berlin and Hamburg in which his conterfei was painted together with the slogan „Long live Chairman Mao!“ and in which the banner with the hammer and sickle was hoisted.

Following we publish an leaflet from the "Red Front Collektiv" from Austria, on occasion of the protests against the EU-Africa summit in Vienna on the 17.th and 18.th of december that was published in New Epoch media.

Imperialists get out of Africa! For the New Democratic Revolution!

In the course of Austria‘s Presidency of the EU council, the last summit, the „EU-Africa summit“, takes place in Vienna. And though many „African representatives“ can take part in it, it‘s still obvious that (in participation of 1000 corporations) it is a meeting for the further exploitation and oppression of the African continent by the imperialists of the EU, if nothing else because of the position of the old continent of colonial rulers. That this is a special summit for the Austrian bourgeoisie is also shown by many international meetings and the recently occurred Eastern Africa Trip of federal chancellor Kurz, where only in Ethiopia 1,5 Million in addition to the fixated 7,5 Million were affirmed. What‘s being presented as „new“ and „innovative“ under the name of „development collaboration“, is the old reactionary combat term for the further subjugation and plundering of the African people under an imperialist prefix. With the difference, that Africa was in it‘s absolute biggest part divisioned amongst the European colonial rulers then, and now this position primarily needs to be defended and stretched against US, Chinese and Russian imperialism.

We forward the article that was published on New Epoch Media

On the 17th and 18th of December the EU-Africa Summit was held in Vienna (Austria) under the Presidency of the EU council by Austria. Various activities were made in protest against the summit of the imperialist exploiters and oppressors. Struggling anti imperialists and activists from African migrants were part of these protests and showed the justified slogan „EU: Hands off Africa!“

On the 17th of December there was a strong demonstration which was dominated by anti imperialist slogans like „EU, China, USA – Hands off Africa!“. The „Alliance against the plundering of Africa“ and especially it‘s anti imperialist activists gave a lively and struggling expression to this demonstration. On the second day of the summit there was an activity of migrant activists from the D.R. Kongo against the summit and especially against the president Paul Kagame of Ruanda. They expressed that for example the Smartphones which are used in the „Western Countries“ are paid for with the blood of the Congolese peoples and that the EU is one of the main actors in this bloody exploitation. At this activity there was a good unity between activists from Kongo and anti imperialist activists from Austria, which is an important step forward to joint protests and struggle against imperialist aggression and exploitation.

These actions and protests against the EU-Africa summit are an important sign against Chauvinism and for the importance of international solidarity. Bourgeois media try to hide the exploitation and suppression of the African masses, as well as by „left“ activists and organizations. This solidarity and the joint struggle of African and Austrian activists is an important step in the struggle for the slogan „Imperialists out of Africa“. There was also a banner with the slogan „For the new-democratic revolution!“. Against all the imperialist cry of „development aid“ and „underdeveloped countries“, only the struggle for the new-democratic revolution will bring real independence from imperialism!

Today, the demonstration "Freedom for Musa Aşoğlu" took place in Hamburg, where around 150 participants gathered for a combative and vociferous demonstration that passed in front of the district court and the detention center. Musa was arrested on December 2 2016 in Hamburg, he spent more than 20 months in isolation and is still in jail. In a few weeks his process comes to an end.

One of the most controversial topics this year was climate protection, influenced by the Green Party who talked their mouths off with the topic. The extremely hot summer which was responsible for the great drought and under which agriculture had to bear a lot of pain, or even US President Donald Trump who allegedly drove the Federal Government to madness with his ignorance of this topic.

This weekend marked the 4th weekend of mass militant protest that currently has a firm grip on France. Since the eruption of what came to be known as the “Yellow Jacket” Movement with its initial mobilisation for the 17th of November the French proletariat has heroically continued to fight for its interests and withstood the attacks of the repression forces.
