Enslavement of fled Ukrainian women in Germany
At the end of June, there were over 1.1 million war refugees from Ukraine in the FRG, almost two-thirds of whom are female. While the adult men, who are basically forbidden to leave Ukraine between the ages of 18 and 60, have in many cases already established a comfortable life in imperialism - most of them, of course, also come from upscale circumstances in Ukraine - the road to Germany for most of the women and their children leads to severe exploitation and poverty.

NRW: Dortmund auxiliary cops attack action for anniversary of Mouhamed's death
This coming Saturday, there will be again a nationwide demonstration in Dortmund for Mouhamed Lamine Drames, who was murdered by the police last year. Mouhamed, who was in an exceptional psychological situation and appeared to have suicidal intentions in a fenced area, was surrounded by a dozen police officers in Dortmund's Nordstadt district and was then first attacked with pepper spray and then executed in under a second, first with a Taser and then five shots from a submachine gun. At no time did Mouhamed pose a danger to other people. Also the deployed cops were not endangered due to the fencing. Following the brutal act, a movement of solidarity with Mouhamed quickly formed and, together with his family, demanded clarification and justice. Of the total of 12 police officers involved in the operation, five are now facing charges.

Colombia: The FRG is walking over corpses for its energy security
In May 2022 we reported on how German imperialism, in the wake of Russian imperialism's war of aggression against Ukraine, has stepped up its efforts to ensure energy security for its economy and social peace in the country by, among other things, importing more coal from Colombia. In this way, the energy demand of German imperialism, which it wants to meet through Colombian coal, is forcing the oppression and plundering of poor peasants and indigenous people in Colombia.

Daycare emergency in NRW
In the FRG there is a problem with a lack of manpower, which is also permanently emphasized by bourgeois politicians. One of many areas where this problem is particularly drastic is, in addition to the health sector and schools, the day care centers. In Germany the new kindergarten year starts on 01 August, which means that many new children will enter the day care centers. In North Rhine-Westphalia alone, 760,619 new children will be cared for in daycare centers or by child minders. However, many parents and guardians are still desperately looking for daycare places. According to a study by the Bertelsmann Foundation, there is a shortage of 100,000 daycare places in North Rhine-Westphalia alone.
