Activists of Kampkomiteen (Struggle Committee) has put up posters in solidarity with the poor peasant Luzivaldo de Souza Araújo and his brother Robélio in Brazil have been put up in Kristiansand. Both have wrongfully been imprisoned since 2019. Luzivaldo has been subjected to poor conditions and abuse in prison and has been denied medical aid.

New actions against the old state in India and Manipur
India:
24th June : Posters against the killing of three Maoist fighters have appeared in Kalahandi district of Odisha state, causing fear and panic in the camp of the old Indian state. The posters paid tribute to three Maoist fighters killed in a fake encounter on May 9 and stated that the three revolutionaries were not killed in a firefight but tortured to death. The posters also highlighted the lives and achievements of the three martyrs for the new democratic revolution and called on the masses to support the bandh (author's note: armed general strike) on June 25. Posters were also found in Rayagada district warning against acting as police informers or face serious consequences.

Federal Budget 2024 set
The months-long debates on the federal budget 2024 and the financial planning until 2027 again show the weakness of the government. The same applies to the outcome of these disputes, which is to be immediately heard by Parliament.

Berlin: austerity measures in the neighborhoods – what "The Best for Berlin" looks like
In the past few days, the Berlin Senate, led by the new black-red government (which agreed on a coalition agreement under the name “The Best for Berlin”), published a first draft for the allocations for funds available to the districts in the years 2024/2025. The district of Neukölln has hit it particularly hard, in a communication from the district council of Wednesday it said: “[...] the district office of Neukölln for the financial years 2024/2025 [miss] per year 22.8 million euros to hold the status quo.” The district then presented a strike list that shows how the rulers does not care about the situation of the neighborhoods.

Sports: Drones against football fans in Magdeburg
Last week, it became known through a question initiated by Fanhilfe (fan aid) Magdeburg and presented via the Left Party in the Saxony-Anhalt state parliament that the police had used drones to monitor fans at 1. FC Magdeburg's home games against Hamburger SV and Hansa Rostock in April.

Increase of the minimum wage
Nine chosen people meet and decide how high the minimum wage should be. Three representatives of the bosses, three union officials, two scientists and a chairman - the SPD-affiliated lawyer Christiane Schönefeld - this is the minimum wage commission set up by the state. This exclusive circle then determines the wage development of over six million people. Around 1/4 of all jobs are based on minimum wages - about twice as many as in 2015 when the minimum wage was introduced.

Protests against displacement from public spaces in Freiburg
Last weekend there was a lot going on in Freiburg. On Friday the 16.06 there was to be a spontaneous hip hop concert in the city garden. Afterwards, on Saturday 17.06, there was a big night dance demonstration in which a public square was briefly occupied.
