As reported by the revolutionary news website "The Red Herald", there have been new attacks against the peasant movement in Brazil.

On July 3, poor peasants from the indigenous Nova Yvu Vera tribe were attacked with tear gas by Brazilian military police. The indigenous peasants are regularly attacked by the military police and other armed groups, which are in the service of and financed by large companies and landowners.The reason for the attacks is the just struggle of the indigenous peasants for their land, which is occupied by big companies. According to reports from the revolutionary newspaper A Nova Democracia, the poor peasants are not intimidated and reaffirm their fighting spirit for their right to land: "If they arrest 10 leaders, 20-30 leaders will be born!"

At this weekend, the "Eritrea Festival" took place in the Hessenhallen in Giessen, where there were clashes and fights by counter-demonstrators against the police. On Saturday, according to press reports, 28 of the more than 1000 police officers deployed were injured, about each 100 people were taken into custody and preliminary proceedings were initiated, the police spoke of "massive attacks" on the part of the protesters and used pepper spray and truncheons. Bus services were suspended in the city.

While the working class faces rising living costs and militarization in the interior, there are still some in Berlin who have time for important hobbies, such as the debate over whether to rename street names. After the dismissal of a lawsuit filed by historian Götz Aly, who wanted to defend the name as an "esteem", and six other residents against the lack of resident participation in the renaming and the objection fee of 148.27 euros, it can now finally hit Mohrenstraße ("Blackamoor street") in the center of Berlin, which carries the old chauvinistic term for dark-skinned people in its name.

Even the year 2023 has in no way brought a breath of fresh air, a new impetus into the cultural industries of the imperialists. More than ever, the old rotten ideas of the ruling class are repeated in a different form, more and more indistinguishable from each other, because the bourgeoisie is unable to generate anything new. Two years of pandemic, one and a half years of war and the omnipresent crisis of imperialism have left their traces in the minds of the bourgeois cultural actors, and for example in the case of many musicians this is expressed in distinct pessimism. And consequently they sing of surrender.

Camera surveillance in Hamburg is already very extensive. Large parts of the city center and the area around the main station are comprehensively screened with cameras, every subway station is monitored and there are also cameras without end in so-called dangerous places. From mid-July, however, the city is planning a new project in terms of camera surveillance. Near the central station, at Hansaplatz in St. Georg, surveillance cameras based on artificial intelligence will be used in the future.

The Militarization in the FRG continues to advance. This can be seen not only in the 100 billion special assets for the Bundeswehr or in the recently adopted federal financial budget, where pretty much everything is saved, except the military but also in the restructuring and reorganization of the Bundeswehr and its soldiers. The so-called reservists also play a not insignificant role in this. Thus, shortly after the war of aggression of Russian imperialism on Ukraine, it was decided to establish new homeland protection regiments, which are mainly composed of reservists.

On June 24 there was this year's „Cristopher Street Day (CSD)“ in Freiburg. At the edge of this there was a violent action from the police against some people who had participated in this event. A journalist who documented this faces now a criminal charge by the police.
