On 19th of June, the Day of Heroism, the Red League called for a rally in Bremerhaven's Goethe quarter under the slogan "Against the wave of inflation and militarism".
Powerful contributions were spoken, slogans were shouted and flyers, as well as the founding declaration of the Red League, were distributed. Some residents of the workers' quarter spontaneously joined in and held up signs with demands such as "No man and no cent for the Bundeswehr", "No military transports over Bremerhaven" or "Permanent inflation compensation for the people". The speeches also held up the heroic struggle of the comrades in Peru who were murdered in the military prisons of the Peruvian reaction 37 years ago on this day. Many masses remained interested at the information desk, taking leaflets and expressing their approval of the rally.
