The Palestine Alliance Hamburg has called for a manifestation in front of the French consulate in Hamburg on June 14 as part of the international week of action for the release of Georges Ibrahim Abdallah.
This call was followed by revolutionary, progressive and anti-imperialist organizations and individuals. The participants met at the nearby Palestine Camp and then gathered together with a banner reading “Freedom for Georges Ibrahim Abdallah!” in front of the consulate of the French state, which has held Georges Abdallah prisoner for almost 40 years. A veteran of the anti-imperialist Palestinian movement was also present and greeted the manifestation with the words “Good that you are thinking of Georges”.
Palestinian and Palestine solidarity music was played at the manifestation and speeches were given in German and French, outlining the situation of Georges Abdallah since his capture in 1984 and calling for his immediate release, as well as the release of all political prisoners.“Freedom for Georges Ibrahim Abdallah!”, “Freedom for all political prisoners!”, “Viva, viva Palestine!” and “Up the international solidarity!” were some of the slogans that the participants shouted loudly in the otherwise rather quiet street, attracting the attention of some passers-by, some of whom stopped to listen to the speeches.
As part of the manifestation, Roter Bund (Red League) activists also distributed their call for the presentation “Introduction to the People's Wars in the World” next Tuesday. We would like to take this opportunity to draw attention to the presentation once again:
