In the Indian state of Jharkhand, the People's Liberation Guerrilla Army (PLGA), led by the Communist Party of India (Maoist), carried out an operation on 30 March to raid a warehouse of a private company that manufactures explosives for mining in the region. In the night action, carried out by around 30 militants, the security guards of the warehouse were first neutralised. A large quantity of explosives and a total of about 7000 detonators were then confiscated.
The explosives stored in the warehouse were actually supposed to be used for the destruction of nature in the region. In order to make way for mining, indigenous peoples are repeatedly displaced and murdered.
