Norway
A Demonstration was organised against the imperialist project of the Norwegian State, which is destroying the environment of the Sami people. At the same time courts in Norway has deemed the forced dispersion of protesters and the project itself a violation of human rights and the Norwegian constitution.
The so-called “windmill parks” is the largest wind-powered energy project in a European country. The Norwegian state has broken human rights. It is over 500 days since the Supreme Court unanimously stated that the wind turbines at Fosen affect the reindeer to such an extent that the Sami's right to environmental reindeer husbandry and cultural practice have been broken, and the decision on a license was invalid.
The protests were successful and also saw international recognition, which lead to the Norwegian government admitted to committing human rights violations and officially apologising to the Sami reindeer herders.
In Trondheim a manifestation against the crisis and Russia’s imperialist war of aggression was carried out. On Saturday 4th of March, the activists from The Struggle Committee, Revolutionary Communists and the “NKP” stood with banners with the slogans “Down with Russia’s war of aggression against Ukraine!” and “Peace between peoples, war between classes”.
At the protest the war of aggression was condemned and exposed as also being a battlefield of the imperialist rivalry between mainly yankee-imperialism and Russian imperialism and that the so-called NATO aid for the Zelensky regime is not for free. It was also highlitghted that the workers and oppressed people’s of the world now has to carry the burden of the crisis.
Sweden
Communist League of Sweden held its 5th National Conference. The comrades write in a section of a statement, which we have produced an unofficial translation of: “We conclude by greeting the International Communist League, the parties and organisations that make up the ICL. That we have begun the work to end the communists' years of dispersal and instead achieve worldwide unity is a brilliant development. The CLS is now moving forward with sure steps under the banners of Marxism-Leninism-Maoism, under the banners of the IKF, to reconstitute the Communist Party of Sweden, organise, politicise, mobilize the masses and finally start the people's war. To overthrow the old state and build socialism until communism!”
