On Saturday 17.07. more than 200 demonstrators gathered in Duisburg Hautbahnhof and moved to the working-class neighborhood Hochfeld. Reason are the attacks of the police at the "Versammlungsgesetz stoppen" demonstration from 26.06 in Düsseldorf.

In the following we want to give a short brief on some recent actions (suspected) carried out by the People´s Liberation Guerrilla Army (PLGA), under the leadership of the Communist Party of India (Maoists) [CPI(Maoists)], in the ongoing People´s War.

In South Africa, the masses rebelled against their miserable living conditions by looting stores and attacking state institutions. Over 110 people died and 1200 were arrested. In the bourgeois press, the uprising is interpreted as a reaction to the arrest of former President Jacob Zuma.

In the West Bank in Palestine, Israelis living illegally on Palestinian land are giving up their settlement. After years of struggle by the Palestinian inhabitants of this region, hundreds injured and several dozen dead, who resisted the Israeli settlers and faced the full brutal force of the Israeli military in return, one may claim that they have achieved their goal.

On 3rd of March this year, a lot of mass protests started in Senegal. The people of Senegal are demonstrating because they are fed up with French imperialism. The masses are accusing the government of being puppets of the French ex-colonial rulers and are giving vent to their anger against French imperialism.

Also on the 3rd of July,millions of Brazilians took to the streets to protest against the genocidal military government of Bolsonaro and his generals. With struggles in more than 312 Brazilian cities, solidarity actions for the struggle of the Brazilian people were also held in 16 other countries.

Century-old olive trees, the main source of livelihood for many peasants in the area, are to be felled for the construction of a geothermal power plant in the village of Orhanlı in the Seferihisar district of Izmir.
