On 21 January 2023, the Alliance against Imperialist Aggression, with the participation of different anti-imperialist organisations, held a manifestation near the Hamburg Central Station. The action was in the light of the week of action for the release of Ahmad Sa'adat, in the course of which numerous actions have already been carried out all over the world. The manifestation demanded the release of Ahmad Sa'adat as well as all political prisoners in Palestine, highlighted the great struggle of the Palestinian people against imperialism and occupation and spoke for the national liberation of Palestine.

We document an unofficial translation of a leaflet of the League of Poor Peasants (LCP) about another murder of a peasant for which the notorious murderer and big landowner Antônio Martins dos Santos is responsible.

The Bolsonarada of January 8 continues to have serious ramifications. The draft of the State of Defense decree that would be signed by Bolsonaro while he was president, found in the home of former Justice Minister Anderson Torres – the same one who flagrantly facilitated the invasions of the headquarters of the Three Powers – explains two things: first, that all of Bolsonaro’s coup preaching before and during the elections, the road blockades, the armed actions of the far right after the result was announced, etc. corresponded to his plan that if he did not win the elections, he would sign such a decree before the inauguration of his opponent, which was not carried out because the Armed Forces High Command (ACFA) does not agree with an institutional rupture at this time. Even the family of the retired general and former Army Commander Eduardo Villas-Boas was involved in the organisation of the encampment in front of the Army Headquarters in the federal capital, which was visited by the same general. For this reason there was an open defence by the generals that the encampments were a “democratic manifestation” and a “right to freedom of expression”.

Oaxaca, Mexico. Two important events took place this weekend: The first was the event "La coyuntura oaxaqueña, los retos del movimiento popular", a space of reflection and analysis of the Frente de Organizaciones Oaxaqueñas (FORO), which brings together 13 democratic and revolutionary organisations. Important agreements were reached at this event, which will be announced soon. The second was the Red Sun Popular Current Assembly, which is taking place at an important time in the national and state political context and is part of the national path towards the constitution of the Popular Front and the ongoing rectification campaign. In Istanbul and Dersim, Partizan comrades commemorated several comrades who gave their lives in the struggle for the revolution in Turkey as part of the Week of Commemoration of the Martyrs of the Party and the Revolution. In Istanbul, the graves of Ahmet Muharrem Çiçek, Mehmet Zeki Şerit and Cemil Oka, who were cadres of the party, were visited at Istanbul Topkapı Cemetery. At the grave of Ahmet Muharrem Çiçek, a speech was made on behalf of Partizan. The speech said:

This year again the LLL demonstration took place in Berlin in January. While this annual event is primarily a showdown of the various forces of the revolutionist movement in the FRG, this year the Maoists had a different message: the International Communist League - ICL was founded! A manifold international contingent proclaimed this historic message at the demonstration, fulfilling the demand that had been made in the previous years at the same demonstration - also in the struggle: For the new organization of the international proletariat!
