Greece: Heavy fighting after train disaster in Tembi
57 people were killed and hundreds injured in the train disaster in Greece last week. A disaster that is not so much a misfortune as a result of many years of austerity policies in all areas of the country. When we talk about this austerity policy, we must not forget the role of the EU and especially of German imperialism, which a little more than 10 years ago, within the framework of the EU bailout package, imposed almost unacceptable measures on Greece, under which the Greek people are becoming more and more impoverished.

In occupied Palestine, one bloody crime against the Palestinian people follows another. As reported in previous articles, the Israeli colonial state is currently intensifying and increasing immensely the violence against the national liberation movement and the Palestinian people. Riots in Suriname after IMF imposed subsidy cuts come into effect
On February 17 thousands took to the streets of Suriname's capital, Paramaribo, storming the parliament building of this 600,000 people strong former (formal) dutch colony, located North of Brazil. Protest erupted due to high living cost as prices for energy, goods and transportation exploded and the exchange rate of the currency plummeted.

India: Current actions in the People's War
On 25 February, three policemen were killed in a jungle in Sukman district, Chhattisgarh state by members of the Communist Party of India (Maoist)-led People's Liberation Guerrilla Army (PLGA). The policemen, who belonged to the paramilitary formation of the District Reseve Guard, had been ambushed early in the morning when they were trying to secure a construction site. Scores of anti-guerrilla forces were deployed to the district to try and fight the PLGA comrades.

Post, railway, public service - strike!
While the Post is again paying out more than 2 billion euros in dividends this year, the new colleagues at the Post are only getting a few cents more than the minimum wage stipulates. At the same time, the Post pays its ten Verdi supervisory board members a total of more than one million euros per year.
