In the Indian state of Jharkhand, the People's Liberation Guerrilla Army (PLGA), led by the Communist Party of India (Maoist), carried out an operation on 30 March to raid a warehouse of a private company that manufactures explosives for mining in the region. In the night action, carried out by around 30 militants, the security guards of the warehouse were first neutralised. A large quantity of explosives and a total of about 7000 detonators were then confiscated.

On April 1, a rally of the "Mietenwahnsinn-Bündnis" ("Rent Madness-Alliance") took place in Berlin-Prenzlauer Berg. The Istanbul Chamber of Commerce (ITO) stated that inflation in Turkey continued to skyrocket last month of March. According to official data, inflation increased by 2.95 per cent compared to the previous month. The ITO published the results of the so-called Istanbul Wage and Living Index, which measures price increases in the retail sector. According to the said index, the increase in inflation compared to March 2022 is a whopping 73.02 per cent. The wholesale price index, which reflects price trends in the wholesale sector, rose by another 4.96 per cent last month. Over the past 12 months, the wholesale price index has increased by 74.22 per cent.

An avalanche has buried several families and killed several people in Alausí.

Beforehand, the inhabitants of Alausí had warned of the instability of the terrain and the possible consequences.
