Last Wednesday and Thursday, Ecuadorian President Moreno was scheduled the to visit the FRG and meet with chancellor Merkel. His visit, however, fell flat when turmoil took Ecuador by storm last week following the application of IMF dictates hugely impacting the lifes of most Ecuadorians. Since then, hundreds of protesters and police have been injured in ongoing clashes between the police and army on one side and the poor peasantry and deepest and broadest masses from the cities on the other side. Ecuador is currently under the State of Emergency, with a nation-wide General Strike declared for upcoming Wednesday.

Since Tuesday huge demonstrations took place in Iraq. The number of unemployd peolpe is high and the public infrastructure, like scholls or hospitals is week. The ruling system has no perspective for the mases. Irag is one of the most oil-rich countries in the world, but there is an energy crisis. The resources are exported to the imperialist oppressors, of which the Iraqi people have nothing at all.

Since days, the Ecuadorian people are fighting bitterly against the old semi-feudal and semi-colonial state and imperialism.

With revolutionary enthusiasm and internationalist salutations we forward the information that yesterday, on the 70th Anniversary of the proclamation of the People’s Republic of China, comrades from China have launched their very own website “MLM Library” that can be reached at “maozhuyi.home.blog”  (“maozhuyi” translates into “Maoism”).

On Monday, Peruvian president Martin Vizcarra announced during a TV interview the dissolution of the country’s congress after a squabble about the new appointees of Peru’s highest court, the constitutional tribunal. In turn, the congress responded by declaring Vizcarra temporarily relieved from office and swearing in Vice-President Mercedes Araoz as the new President of Peru Monday night, sharpening the conflict in between the executive and the legislative and creating a situation not unlike in Venzuela.

For last Monday, a presentation of Gustavo Gorriti was scheduled to take place in Hamburg University. Against this, internationalist activists distributed a leaflet. Also, pictures of an action with the slogans “Gorriti = CIA” and “Guerra Popular hasta el communismo” are being circulated. Both can be found in German and in Spanish. In the end, the event was canceled.

Last Saturday more then a hundred people from the proletarian neighborhoods of Copenhagen came together in a manifestation to denounce their neighborhoods to be officially branded “Ghettos” under the new legislation that was enacted in the beginning of this year. With the “Ghetto Law” the state create a new weapon for interfering in the proletarian neighborhoods and allows to impose harsh measures that fully negates even the most basic demo-liberal rights and, as such, is part of the drastic reactionarization observed in Denmark in recent years.
