Comrades from within the Spanish state have, with occasion of the publication of all issues of Rote Post and Klassenstandpunkt, taken the great initiative to translate on of the articles published in the former. To be more specific, the comrades have chosen to translate the article “Stoppt die Abschiebungen nach Afghanistan” (“Stop the deportations to Afghanistan”), that has been published in the most recently uploaded revolutionary mass magazine in the FRG, and published it in Spanish. Revolutionaries from the People's Liberation Guerilla Army (PLGA), led by the Communist Party of India (Maoist) were killed by the Special Task Force (SRT) on the 6th of June between the villages Khallari and Mechka in the State of Chhattisgarh. One can assume that this attack was a "fake encounter" since no policemen were hurt or killed.

The central government of India, under the leadership of ultra-reactionary Prime Minister Narendra Modi, has set up and financed paramilitary groups operating in Bastar district in Chhattisgarh state. The information was published by the blog Correo Vermello.

In a big show of force, comrades from Sol Rojo in Mexico have mobilized, outside of their most vocal base of support that is Oaxaca, for a manifestation last Monday in the Capitol of Mexico, Mexico City. This demonstration, carried out after country wide mobilization, is part of the 3rd phase within the campaign for justice and people's rights.

The media outlet Tjen Folket Media reports on the existence of a new website, not run by TFM, but linked to the Maoist movement both in the country as well as internationally. Operating under the name Tjen Folket, the blog that can be found at https://maoist.home.blog already offers important political materials in Norwegian and English and has hence been added to our link list.

In April 2015 the community of Olaria Barra do Mirador, supported by the LCP, celebrated its 15th anniversary of existence, making it more then 19 years old. All these years it remained a hotbed of resistance and a bonfire for the peasantry to take matters into their own hands, take land and develop conditions worth working and living for. Two days ago, a sinister attack was carried out by more then a hundred military police officers against the housing and belongings of the peasants of that community, in an attempt to devastate their livelihood and drive them away. Henceforth, we document an article of Incendiary on these recent developments:

BRAZIL: Latifundio and Military Police Steal Land, Peasants Retaliate

The past several weeks have shown both the villainous actions of the latifundio and police as well as the heroic struggle of the peasants in the Brazilian countryside. The Bolsonaro government has instituted a new wave of land reintegration against peasants who have fought to transform fallow lands, previously owned by large corporations and abusive landlords, into productive farms and communities as part of the agrarian revolution in the country.

Long Live the Agrarian Revolution! Death to the Latifundio! Land to the Tiller!

On July 9 in northern Minas Gerais, in the municipality of Miravânia, a major operation involving more than one hundred military police ended with the seizing of land and destruction of family homes in the Olaria Barra do Mirador Community. Armed military police threatened peasants into signing agreements that legalized the theft of their land, financed and orchestrated by Walter Arantes.

Arantes, known in the region as “Waltinho,” is a notorious grileiro, a landlord who falsifies documents in order to steal land from poor peasants, who was recently imprisoned for money laundering and has faced numerous lawsuits ranging from environmental destruction to illicit enrichment. The reintegration plan was carried out sneakily, with families receiving virtually no warning prior to the police invasion in an attempt to prevent any resistance from the peasants.

The families of the Olaria Barra do Mirador Community, supported by the League of Poor Peasants (LCP) of the North of Minas and South of Bahia, have occupied nineteen previously unproductive lands. The Defense Committee of the Families of Olaria Barra do Mirador stated, “If anyone intends to commit this crime against families, he will provoke the daylight and have no peace in his life! We are not alone in this fight!”

The committee has also made it clear that it will not recognize any judicial ruling other than an immediate suspension of the reintegration and the legalization of the peasant estates in the area.

Supporters of the Olaria Barra do Mirador Community carried out a blockade of the road that connects the municipalities of Januaria and Miravânia with burning planks of wood and banners denouncing the infamous grileiro “Waltinho” Arantes and the military police in response to the illegitimate land grab.

Out Waltinho and Military Police, the Barra do Mirador is ours!

On July 2, in the Barrolândia district in southern Bahia, peasants who had been previously forced out of their land on behalf of the multinational corporation Veracel Celulose, fought back against the armed “private security firm” GPS. The armed paramilitary, known for repeated acts of aggression and intimidation against the peasant families who occupied the region, tried to force families who were camped by the road out of the area, but were met with sticks, machetes, and scythes. The encounter ended with GPS abandoning the area with one “security” officer injured, and six of their cars set ablaze.

On June 25, dozens of workers blocked the highway leading into the city of Pau D’Arco in Pará, in protest against the new threat of reintegration against Camp Jane Júlia. The encampment has resumed production on the same land as the Fazenda Santa Lucia community, which was previously demolished after a police invasion in 2017 that resulted in the torture and slaughter of ten peasants.

Due to strong mobilizations of peasants supported by the LCP of Southern Pará and Tocantins, the National Institute of Colonization and Agrarian Reform (INCRA) was forced to recognize the land tenure in the favor of the peasants, months after the slaughter. Even though the state has recognized their claim to the land, the threat of reintegration still looms in the horizon, while many of the police who took part in the slaughter are still free two years later.

Workers block the highway in front of Pau D’Arco (PA) in response to new threats of land reintegration.

Across the country, peasants are fighting in the agrarian revolution as part of the struggle for New Democracy against semi-feudalism and the reactionary state. They face repeated attacks to their homes and communities but remain steadfast in their struggle for land and against exploitation.

On occasion of the latest trial date in the so-called TKP/ML trial a manifestation was held in front of the Munich court in solidarity with those who stand accused in the trial. Using the slogan “Freedom for Dr. Banu Büyükavcı, Dr. Sinan Aydın, Sami Solmaz and all political prisoners” a broad platform of organizations mobilized to this manifestation, after three of the defendants in the trial, Banu, Sinan and Sami, had been rearrested on June 25.

In numbers protesters, activists and sympathizers gathered on Monday morning to take this opportunity of the trial date do demand in and outside of court the release of the imprisoned. In slogans and speeches the role of German imperialism was denounced, which – hand in hand with the Turkish government and on the basis of their “evidence” - hunts activists in Germany and Europe, targeting them with repression and harassing them.

The case of Banu, Sinan and Sami shows this well: First, absolutely over-exaggerated arrests and raids made by special forces armed to the teeth in order to stigmatize the activists as “terrorists” from the beginning. Then, a trial that drags on for years with out any verdict, while the defendants remain incarcerated, also for years (!). Then, their release because of the sheer discrepancy between years of jail on one hand, but no conviction on the other and due to public pressure. And then, the rearrest, yet again through special forces, during the trial and while in court.

As also the lawyer of Sami expressed during the manifestation, the recent rearrests are not due to the penal code, but politically motivated. It is obvious: To imprison activists for years without convicting them, to then release them for a couple of months so they can walk free, only to rearrest them later is nothing but state-organized terror to break the defendants.
