As comrades of New Epoch Media reported yesterday actions supporting the Campaign for Igor Mendez and the 22 other accused also took place in former Yugoslavia in the beginning of this month. The comrades document a joint video message of comrades from Serbia, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Turkey and Austria that was taken in a former partisan area. Furthermore the actions also calls for the support of the People's War in India, where Communist Party of India (Maoist) had been commemorating those who gave their live in the struggle against oppression during what is called The Week of the Martyrs. In the following, we document the Video:

We publish an english translation of a report of Partizan:

In support of the actions for Igor Mendes and the 23 activists, Partizan in Athens/Greece executed a solidarity action in the football game of AEK Athens against Galatasaray, which took place on the 31.07.2018. Igor Mendes was one of the participants in the student- and workers protest against the World Cup spectacle 2013 in Brazil. For Partizan he is our comrade and son of the Brazilian proletariat, which struggles bravely and decided for the interests of the oppressed peoples and the proletariat. He got sentenced for years of prison by the reactionary and rotten Brazilian State. A group of Partizan in Europe put up a banner for the game which took place in the Olympia stadium with the slogan „Free Igor Mendes! Fighting is not a crime!“ The group of Partizan was greeted by thousands of the fans in the so called goal-tribune with applause and antifascist slogans.

The group also put up a banner in Greek language with annotations to the fire in Greece in which dozens of Greek people died. On the banner it was written „This fire is in our hearts, our hearts are in struggle!“ The activist of Partizan resisted some reactionary supporter groups and got the support of antifascist fans in the organisation of these actions. The banner for Igor Mendes was put up in the stadium and the actions finished shortly before the end of the game. Partizan also announced they will organise more actions in solidarity with Igor Mendes and the 23 Activists and to increase the international solidarity with other befriended revolutionary democratic organisations.

We share these images of paintings in support of Igor Mendes and the 23 sentenced activists:

We publish this message which was sent to us from Denmark:

ACTION OF SOLIDARITY WITH IGOR MENDES AND »THE 23«

The action to support Igor Mendes and »the 23«, who have received prison in Brazil because of their heroic and brave struggle against the wastefulness of the old and rotten-to-the-core Brazilian state under the FIFA World Cup of 2014, was carried out by activists from Red Study Circle under the political leadership of »Gnisten« [The Spark]. The action has improved the practical level of the activists, serving the international campaign to support Igor Mendes and »the 23«.

We share an image which comrades in Sweden created in solidarity with Igor Mendes:

Igor Mendes is a young Communist from Brazil recently arrested for participating in the World Cup 2014 protests held in Brazil. There is an international campaign for defense for this companion. The picture shows a painting done in Rinkeby in Stockholm.

Since a few Bremen fascists in each of their weekly demonstrations under the slogan "Kandel is everywhere", in which they use the death of a young girl to incite hatred and fear against migrants and to promote the division of the working class in the FRG, this was also the case on July 7, the planned "climax" of their mobilization.

Saturday started with a counter demonstration with about 1000 participants, including a large part anti-fascists. On the other hand, less than a dozen people gathered at the so-called "women's march" of the fascists. Because of this balance of power, the anti-fascists managed to surround the small group even before the start of their demonstration, resolutely putting the slogan "Don’t Give Fascism an Inch!" into action. The demonstration of the Fascists, who wanted to march as a pure provocation through the left-alternative Steintorviertel, was rained on. Only through the aggressive protection of their vicarious agents - the Bremen police, including their black helmeted special forces - the fascists could even claim their rally start. The anti-fascist demonstrators were shoved, beaten, tried to encircle and threatened in loudspeaker announcements with further "police measures". But they remained firm and so the cops were unable to enforce the fascist march.

On the 3rd of July 22 year old Aboubakar Fofana was killed by a single bullet to the neck. He was shot dead close range by the French police conducting traffic controls. Although the scene was captured on video and many witnesses reported otherwise, the police, at first, attempted to cover up this unprovoked execution  arguing he would have run over a police officer and the murder would be justified. As this is a bland lie many do not believe, Nantes has now seen three days of massive riots denouncing the murderous police.

On the 30th of June thousands of people took to the streets of Vienna, marching to voice their discontent with the current government’s plans to proceed with passing laws to allow the 12-hours work day. Considered a significant cut of the workers’ rights fought for by the Austrian proletariat and fuelled by the ongoing protests against the current (black / blue) government itself, more then 100.000 people attended the protest rally.
