Last week Dem Volke Dienen reported on the successful manifestations and flyer actions carried out by Swedish comrades to kick of their campaign to denounce the electoral farce. In recent days, these actions were complemented by posters at the university and others put up to sabotage the bourgeois parties’ electoral campaigns. In Stockholm’s district of Akalla graffities in support of the campaign were painted on the walls.

As already done in previous years, the Turkish army this year yet again set ablaze vast areas of forests and agricultural land within the Turkish borders. It is their feeble attempt to burn the woods that supposedly provide cover for the guerilla and to terrorize the local population to drive them away by destroying their livelihoods and make them afraid to support the guerilla.

We forward a video that was made in celebration to the retake of Enilson Ribeiro settlement that took place on April 2018. The peasants were expelled from the area by the landlords on August 26, 2016, after resisting a coward military siege imposed by police forces colluded with landlord´s henchmen for weeks. The video shows images of the siege made by the military, and also the attacks, including machinegun fire from a helicopter, but it also shows the high morale and resistance of the peasants, as well as images of the retake.

One day after the retake, on the First of May, the General Commander and the subcommander of the Military Police of  São Miguel do Guaporé and one representative of the National Institute of Colonization and Agrarian Reform (Incra) from Pimenta Bueno were in the settlement to threaten the peasants. They were threatened to be subject of ownership repossession and arrest.

Ismauro Fatimo dos Santos was a supporter of the struggle for land on this area. He was murdered on July 22 by henchmen of the landlords near Enilson Ribeiro settlement and his daughter was seriously wounded as reported on an article we published.

The Bom Futuro farm is 11.500 ha big and is a result of illegal ocupation of public land by Augusto Nascimento Tulha, who is a former military medic.

Past weekend in several cities of Europe commemorative events for the six fallen Tikko combatants took place. In Stuttgart more than sixty people attended the activity of Partizan in the leftist Lilo Hermann Centrum.

Joint statement from different organizations in Oaxaca

We publish an English translation of the statement made by different organizations in Oaxaca:

Swedish comrades past week kicked off their campaign to denounce the electoral farce that is currently taking place in Sweden as general elections are scheduled to take place on the 9th of September. Actions were made in various neighborhoods of Stockholm where comrades came together in small manifestations distributing leaflets and carrying a banner calling on the people to choose the struggle outside of the parliament.

On August 9, Elmer Audiencio Quispe Ríos was killed in an ambush by combatants of the People´s Liberation Army, which is led by the Communist Party of Peru. According to intelligence reports of the Air Force, the attack was carefully planned and even though search operations in the vicinity of Virgem de Ccasa in the district of Canayre in the province of Huanta (Ayacucho) entailed the assault no arrests were carried out.

Freedom to Igor Mendes and all comrades condemned by the old state of Brazil!

We direct the following words to our comrades in Brazil, to the international communist movement, and to our friends in Finland. In July the old state of Brazil captured 23 comrades for the protests and resistance organized prior to and during FIFA 2014 against the anti-people misspending and evictions. They are threatened with several years long, even 13 years prison sentences. Among them is also the leader of the revolutionary youth of Brazil, Igor Mendes, the likes of who must be raised in all countries from the righteous rebellion to overthrow all reactionaries.

The Brazilian reaction which is sinking into an ever deepening crisis, is waging a doomed struggle to stretch its life expectancy. The agrarian revolutionary movement relying on poor peasantry, with the League of Poor Peasants as its brightest expression, is developing as an unstoppable component of the new democratic revolution with martyrs accumulating ever so often. Thus the days of the bureaucratic bourgeoisie and landowners are dwindling, because as in the countryside, also in the cities a magnificent revolutionary movement is being constructed with communist leadership. With growing consciousness of that we express solidarity to the 23 comrades hardened by class struggle, being certain that the white terror resorting to ever more cowardly measures can not prevent the sun of new democracy rising and shining through prison walls.

Igor Mendes, son of the Brazilian people, fighter of the international proletariat, is not alone! His generation will see the Brazil of new democracy, as well as the destruction of imperialism with people’s war. We praise the unyielding struggle of the revolutionaries of Brazil as an inspiring example to the proletariat also in Finland. Our material force here is still a future perspective, but our work illuminated by our internationally shared only correct ideology, Marxism-Leninism-Maoism, shall fulfill the promise that already before the dawn of the revolution’s victory in oppressed countries, also the communists in Finland will serve the world proletarian revolution with the perseverance and self-sacrifice of our best Brazilian comrades.
