We forward the global call for solidarity and to fight, which was decided in a big and broad plenary of the campaign against the persecution to the 23 and all who dare to struggle, it is the first demonstration of the current campaign for the 23 in Brazil that will take place on August 14 and we forward the call for all democratic and revolutionary movement to join. GLOBAL CALL FOR SOLIDARITY AND TO FIGHT:

"August 14th, international day of support for the 23 activists sentenced in Rio de Janeiro, in defense of the right to protest, for all who fight"

We call on all social movements, popular and revolutionary organizations, trade unions, student movements, human rights groups, progressive intellectuals and other sectors of civil society to organize simultaneous actions in this great day of solidarity and struggle against the criminalization of social movements and in defense of the right to protest.

Suggestions for action:

- Street demonstrations at Brazilian embassies or consulates in the countries (if possible, delivery of memoranda repudiating political persecution to the 23)
-Debates, lectures against the criminalization of the struggle in university and schools.
- Hanging of posters to support the 23 on walls, lampposts and other public places.
- Displaying of banners supporting the 23 at working, studying or housing places. 
- Taking photographs of people holding posters and posting them on social networks to support the 23 and all who fight.

We suggest that each country or city bring, together with the agenda of the 23, the debates regarding the criminalization of those who fight in their localities! We have examples of arrests and political persecutions in all parts of the world, the most recent example being of young Palestinian Ahed Tamimi who for six months has shown an example of bravery and not succumbing to a prison sentence

In the following we like to document a video interview with Professor Tsien about how the Great Proletarian Culture Revolution impacted the universities and himself personally. Prior to it, he nursed thoughts of imitating the model of the Yankees and Social-imperialist Russia as he considered them superior to Chinas universities. He was selfish and through out 20 years of his university career and only had his own ego in mind. He despised his son for choosing a workers path.

We publish an inofficial translation of a declaration of french comrades:

Before the football world cup was held in Brazil in 2014, major mass demonstrations, particularly involving the popular youth, took place to protest against holding of such a miserable cover for the propaganda of the comprador regime, against the immense waste of resources, against the bloody anti-people's attacks of "cleansing" and against the destruction of several hundred dwellings which was required for it to take place.

We share the information from an article published by CORRIENTE DEL PUEBLO SOL ROJO [Current of the People Red Sun], which states that they joined other groups in the creation of the Coordination for the Freedom of Criminalised People from the people´s movement in Oaxaca, which includes ten organizations of the struggling people.

According to various Turkish-language reports six combatants of the TIKKO, the Liberation Army of the Workers and Peasants of Turkey under the leadership of the TKP/ML, fell in action in the early hours of the 6th of August. The reactionary press claims, that in the night from the 5th to the 6th of August, the combatants were on the move to ambush a military outpost of the Turkish army, when they were engaged by enemy troops flanked by air support. The firefight in the area of Tunceli, that lasted until the early hours of Monday, left six heroic combatants of the Turkish people dead.

Freedom for the 23 Brazilian activists – Freedom for Igor Mendes

The Brazilian people are fighting – and the revolutionary activists stand in the midst of the struggle. Tjen Folket Media [Serve the People Media] greets the 23, who recently got sentenced to long-term imprisonment, for the struggle against the football circus four years ago. We condemn the Brazilian state and its fascist oppression against the masses. We want to contribute to revealing the myth about "development" in Brazil and other oppressed countries. We want to bring forth the revolutionary activists and especially the activist Igor Mendes.

As comrades of New Epoch Media reported yesterday actions supporting the Campaign for Igor Mendez and the 22 other accused also took place in former Yugoslavia in the beginning of this month. The comrades document a joint video message of comrades from Serbia, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Turkey and Austria that was taken in a former partisan area. Furthermore the actions also calls for the support of the People's War in India, where Communist Party of India (Maoist) had been commemorating those who gave their live in the struggle against oppression during what is called The Week of the Martyrs.
