This year's Lenin-Liebknecht-Luxemburg demonstration was marked by two outstanding political facts.

First, in a climate of witch hunts and white terror, the revolutionary movement in Germany has sent a clear signal. We will not be intimidated! We carry our flags with pride and in the midst of the struggle, we stand united against this state, its lackeys and spies.
Second, it is becoming increasingly clear how the reconstitution of the Communist Party of Germany is an urgent necessity of the class struggle of the proletariat. In different blocks the cry for the party is expressed and it becomes more and more clear how this demand finds more and more organised, centralised, forms. It is clear to all and everyone that the question today is not whether the party is reconstituted, but how, on what basis and when.

Wir dokumentieren einen Bericht von AntifaschistInnen aus Österreich zu den aktuellen großen Protesten gegen die Regierung:

In a command conference with ground commanders the chief of the Armed Forces of the Philippines General Rey Guerrero on Tuesday exclaimed his goal to eradicate half of the New People’s Army in the next six months – a farfetched goal, considering the great successes NPA forces had in December. A report published Sunday indicates that the reactionary armed forces lost at least 26 soldiers in NPA actions in December.

In December 27, 2017, in Santa Maria community, Maranhão state, the VII FeR (Forums and Networks of Citizenship) State Meeting took place. Around 100 activists representing each of the 21 municipalities were present. Among the present activists there was the legendary quilombola leadership Justo Evangelista, 83 years old. The landlords had put several crosses to intimidate the activists, but they were not and the combative character of the meeting was marked by the statements: “If they put ten crosses in the community lands, we will put twenty in theirs!” and “we will conquer justice; history does not fail, we will win!”

We publish this good article by maoists from the United States. Even though we don't agree in all standpoints (regarding the question of the PKK read the document "Regarding the stance of the anti-imperialists on the PKK"), it still is an article worth reading:

One More Time for Those in the Back . . .

On the 14th of January the mass protests that swept over Tunisia in 2011 will have their 7th anniversary. Bourgeois media back then coined the phrase "Arab spring" and exclaimed Tunisia would hence be a "democracy". However, nothing much has since changed its semi-feudal, semi-colonial character and the fact that bureaucratic capitalism still continues to thrive. The people are not better off and are fed up with the illusions spread by the governmental figureheads – this much became very clear in the mass protests and riots that erupted all over the country this week.

On the 7th of January up to 5000 people took part in the annual commemoration  of Oury Jalloh in Dessau. This year was the thirteenth year after the murder against Oury Jalloh in German police custody since 2005. Again the demonstration was not a pure memorial for the life that has been taken thirteen years ago. The demonstration – that not only was the strongest ever in terms of participant numbers – marked again and even stronger a signal in the struggle against the imperialist chauvinism of the FRG and its repressive organs, from police to justice, who since the day of the murder try to cover things up, justify and try to criminalise activists.

Comrades of the Red Women Committee yesterday published photos of an action made to commemorate the comrade Remís Carla. Remís was a militant of the Revolutionary Popular Students Movement and the Revolutionary Popular Students Movement who was found dead on the 23th of December. More than 300 people took part in her funeral, commemorating the life of an outstanding comrade who is dearly missed.
