Activists held a banner that read, "Out with the murderous police, out of the favelas!" and distributed hundreds of leaflets to people passing by, near the international market. Residents stopped to talk to the youths who distributed the flyers and denounced the murderous actions of the armed forces.

Through a megaphone, the massacre carried out by the police was denounced. The action of the youth revolutionaries also called on the masses to reject the electoral farce. In addition to police violence, the action also rejected starvation, inflation and attacks on people's rights.

During the last weekend of May, the 28th and 29th, about 300 peasant families, tired of waiting for the old state, occupied two large estates in the state of Bahia (BA). The increased occupations and recaptures are a direct result of the severe crisis of bureaucratic capitalism in the country, which is leading the peasant masses to fight for their survival and against the misery imposed on them by the federal governments, the genocidal military government of Bolsonaro and his generals.

Belgium was paralysed by a nationwide general strike in the public sector on Tuesday 31 May. The unions had called the strike to protest against the enormously rising cost of living. The demands were thus for more staff, higher pensions, more investment in the public sector, help to cope with inflation, less workload and, above all, better pay.
