In gigantic battles in the capital Colombo, the popular masses overran the helpless military, stormed the government palace and drove President Gotabaya Rajapaksa to flight. In Paraguay, peasants demonstrated in front of the Ministry of the Interior in the capital Asunción on 29 June to protest against the recent violent eviction of peasants in Zavala Cué. The demonstrators demanded the release of political prisoners and the repeal of the Riera-Zavala law, which increases penalties for "invasion of private property".

Fighting against Israeli forces broke out again in various parts of Palestine over the past few days. On Friday 24 June, clashes broke out between Israeli forces and Palestinians after the occupation forces stormed the village of Silwad, near Ramallah in the West Bank. Near the villages of Beita and Beit Dajan, south and east of Nablus city respectively, and near the village of Kafr Qaddum, east of Qaqilya city, residents also resisted attacks by Israeli forces. At least 130 Palestinians were reportedly injured in these battles alone. Among the injured were three who were shot at with live ammunition and nine others were injured by rubber bullets. A 16-year-old Palestinian succumbed to his serious injuries on Saturday after Israeli soldiers shot at him in a village east of Ramallah.
