We publish an inofficial translation of a declaration of the FDLP-EC (Front in Defence of the Struggle of the People - Ecuador):

In the morning of February 16 after a meeting between the shift manager of the Federal Republic Michel Temer (PMDB), the Governor of Rio de Janeiro state Pezão (PMDB) and the head of the deputy chamber Rodrigo Maia one day before, the federal intervention of the armed forces in all the repression apparatus of Rio de Janeiro state was announced and decreed until the end of 2018.

This is the result of a process of sharpening of the contradictions between the ruling classes and the people, due to the crisis which is paid ate the cost of the blood of the people, the increase in repression and also the centralization of the repression. This process was already being formulated in the Workers Party management with the creation of the National Force police department, with the military centralization in the occupation of the Maré and Alemão favelas and also during the Olympics as an experience to raise the repression to another level.

Also the plan to create the Ministry of Security is another policy that aims to the centralization in the national level of this repression rapid increase.

During the last week, in the carnival holyday, in which the whole city changes its dynamics, the media monopoly was making terrorism saying the police are not being enough to take care of the (poor) “criminals” and is spreading hate against the poor people in Rio de Janeiro favelas.

Another thing the manager Temer said in his speech was that the intervention will be interrupted for voting the social security (counter) reform once is not constitutional to change the federal laws during military intervention.

This policy is another leap in the repression against the people and the terror the state aims to spread among the people is going to turn against it, the people is accumulating flammable material to explode in rebellion against the landlord and bureaucratic capitalist state.

Statewide day of SolRojista Struggle

The next February 26 begins our Statewide Day of Struggle for an indefinite period in the City of Oaxaca Rebelde, with the participation of the SolRojista contingents from various regions of the state and different social sectors agglutinated in the ranks of our organization.

Within the framework of this Day, the SolRojistas will be joining with the struggle from the streets to internationalist activities for the celebrations of the 170th anniversary of the publication of the Manifesto of the Communist Party and the 200th anniversary of the birth of the first great leader of the international proletariat, Carl Marx.

The President of the Philippines, Duterte, recently officially called the CPP (Communist Party of the Philippines) and the NPA (New People‘s Army) terrorists. According to the bourgeois press, who is referring to sources of the AFP (Armed Forces of the Philippines), that forced many members of the NPA to surrender. The CPP, however, didn’t deny that there have been some capitulating individuals, naming surenderees a “part of the realities of war” in a press release. Those surrenderees are denoted as a uprising trend by the bourgeois press. Those allegations are strenuously rejected by the CPP.

Last weekend yet again thousands of people went on the streets of one of Austria's biggest and most important cities. In Linz, a major capitol of industry, the estimated number of demonstrators was exceeded more then sixfold.
