On the night of the day before yesterday, activists of the Young Revolutionaries organization attacked the consulate of the reactionary Italian state in Marseille with paint and painted a slogan in support of the struggle for the release of political prisoner of the Red Brigades Nadia Lioce on the façade . Below is the opinion forwarded by the FRAP:

"Marseilles 12/10/18: The Young Revolutionaries take responsibility for the defacement of the consulate (litters with bottles and day) in solidarity to our comrade Nadia Lioce, political prisoner of the Red Brigades."

To be revolutionary is not a crime but a duty!

Freedom for Nadia Lioce!

The general elections in India are upcoming next year. And the ruling class including the current president, Narendra Modi, fear the announced protest of the broad masses. They may try to discredit the rebellion, may instrumentalize the “war against terror” to get rid of every opposition, but they won’t suppress the justified rebellion of the masses. Even if some politicians, like the Union home minister Rajnath Singh, are fantasizing about “completely eliminating left wing extremism” in “the next three years”, the old Indian state and their police and military are actually in great fear of the protests. That means in fact, that they fear the ongoing people’s war led by the Communist Party of India (Maoist).

A wave of protests occurred in Idlib province, in Syria, against the latest bombings that were made in the region by Russian imperialism and the semi-colonial and semi-feudal regime of Bashar Al-Assad. The largest of the protests occurred in the city of Maarat al-Nouman, in the same province, which gathered more than 25,000 people on the streets. The same occurred, in smaller proportions, in more than 20 cities and villages of the region.

One of the posters said: "Russia and Bashar Al-Assad bombard us and say we are the terrorists." A 36-year-old worker on the demonstration said, "We just want to send a message to the rest of the world that we are only an oppressed people who long for freedom."

Last Friday, November 5th, revolutionary students organized demonstrations in front of the Embassy of Mexico in Chile demanding the presentation of Dr. Ernesto Sernas García alive and delivered the following letter signed by 11 Chilean political, social and cultural organizations. We forward an unofficial english translation of the letter.

New Delhi, 06.10.18

TheHindustan Times newspaper reports that the PLGA (People´s Liberation Guerrilla Army) has launched an offensive called "Ghamasan" to confront the government offensives of the "Operation Samadhan" last year and this year, which aim to stop the expansion of the Maoists.
The information is based on a document, 11 pages, dated June 25 and published by the Eastern Regional Bureau (ERB) of the Central Committee of the CPI (Maoist).

Cornered, the Supreme Court of New Delhi, India, ordered the replacement of pre-trial detention to domicile detention for at least two of the arrested activists. The chairman of the Democratic Revolutionary Front, Varavara Rao, and the activist Gautam Navlakh were released. Both are now in their houses.

Gautam Navlakh had his pre-trial detention canceled on 1 October because, according to the Supreme Court of New Delhi, the "evidence" presented by Pune police who carried out the arrest were "unsustainable" and did not comply with the legal requirements and constitutional. Upon learning of the conversion of his pre-trial detention to domicile, he stated that he could not "forget the co-accused who remain imprisoned for their ideological convictions."

VAVARARAO

we forward information from the bourgeois media:

“Revolutionary poet Pendyala Varavara Rao on Thursday said the Supreme Court order asking the Pune police to return him home in Hyderabad was a 'slap on the face of the government'.

Rao, 78, is one of the five activists who were arrested by the Pune police in raids in five cities for their alleged links with Maoists on Tuesday. The Supreme Court on Wednesday ordered the activists will be kept under house arrest.

A police team flew Rao from Pune and dropped him at his apartment in Gandhinagar as the Telangana police put up a security ring. Rao’s wife Hema Latha received him as he stepped out of a police car and his family rushed to embrace him, but the poet didn’t show emotions.

“It’s a temporary relief of me and others, but the Supreme Court order is a slap on the face of the government. We have been booked in a conspiracy case just because we mooted a platform to raise the voice against the fascist rule in the country. In fact, the government itself has conspired against us,” Rao said aloud before entering the apartment complex.

Rao will be under house arrest till September 6, the Supreme Court has said. He cannot meet people outside his family and he cannot speak to people outside his home, even on his phone. A four-member Pune police team, aided by the Telangana police, will be posted at Rao’s residence.

“On Wednesday, we heard the prosecution’s argument for one hour. The court will hear the government on September 6,” Rao said. “The government’s action will have a lot of effect on the society. People will understand the government conspiracy,” he said.

He referred to noted historian Romila Thapar petitioning the Supreme Court on behalf of the five arrested and said that it substantiated the argument that the case was false and conspiracy by the government.

On August 28, the Pune police searched Rao’s home and questioned him for eight hours before arresting home. He was taken to Pune the same night on a transit warrant from a local court.”

In the first round, the electoral sham had already failed. More than 40 million people did not attend to the elections or voted null or blank, which equals 29.1% of the people who are able to vote.  This number is very meaningful, given that in the last election in 2014 the boycott was of approximately 38 million, which A Nova Democracia has characterized as “the biggest boycott to the electoral sham”. The correct number is certainly even bigger, because the people who had their voter title cancelled due to not participating and did not regularize this situation due to not caring or rejection are not counted by the Electoral Justice.

[with information from A Nova Democracia website]

The most voted candidate had actually 33,4% of the total of voters, which means 49 million people from a pool of 147 million, almost as many as the ones who boycotted, and it also means that 100 million did not support the fist placed candidate.

Also the boycott to the electoral sham was expressed in the election for governor of the states.
In Rio de Janeiro approximately 4.7 million people boycotted the electoral sham, 42% of the total, and the one in the first place had 25%, which means he did not manage to overcome the rejection to the elections.

Also in Minas Gerais the election was a failure, approximately 6 million people, 42.8% and the one in first place had 26%, approximately 4 million people. Again the rejection won.
In Rondonia the first place had not even 20.5% of the votes and the rejection was 38% of the voters. 409.400 people from 1.1 million voters.

In Teresópolis, a city in Rio de Janeiro state, there was also election for mayor. The result was a complete failure, more than 61600 (56.6%) of the voters did not vote and the first place had 23.500 (18.6%) of the votes from a total of 129.900 people able to vote.

These data were removed from the official website of the Electoral Justice.

PEOPLE ACTIVELY BOYCOTT THE ELECTORAL SHAM

Despite the numbers that clearly express the bankruptcy of the fake democracy (the dictatorship of the big bourgeoisie and landlords who serve imperialism), part of the people actively boycott the electoral sham and made actions.

In Mato Grosso state, indigenous peoples from a village in Brasnorte, expelled the Army soldiers with arrows. The goal of them was to prevent the people to access the electronic ballots inside the place, as part of the rejection to the fake democracy. The soldiers were deployed to enter the village.
In São José dos Pinhais city, in Paraná state, apparently two people attacked the Electoral Forum of the city with Molotov cocktail, they were using hoods for not being identified by the repression. Hundreds of electronic ballots.

In Morro da Fumaça city, south of Santa Catarina, a 25 year-old worker destroyed an electronic ballot with a sledgehammer during the voting. He entered the room and made the action. He was captured by the Military Police and could not speak the reason of the action, but it is deductible that was part of the popular rage with the fake democracy.

In Campinas city, countryside of São Paulo state, two electronic ballots were sabotaged before the beginning of the votes. People stealthy entered in a school, broke in a room and cut the power cables of the ballots.

“This historical boycott in the first round is a hard blow thrown against the fake democracy and shows that the people´s masses urge for a new society and a new system, which will emerge from the people´s struggle and other means, and also impulses the crisis in the core of the ruling classes.” States the article.
